DBUF are MEAN WELL's latest buffer modules using supercapacitor modules instead of traditional batteries. Their obvious advantage is that they can operate in buffer mode without any voltage drop during switching. Of course, they can also be connected in parallel to extend the buffer operation time. Another very useful feature of the device is the ability to switch remotely to buffer operation by providing a trigger signal (particularly useful in advanced monitoring and control systems where an additional computer controls the system). In addition, a Ready signal is also available, as well as a Buffering output to indicate switching to buffer operation.
